The Rise of an Heiress Rewrites
Dear Lovely Readers,
Thank you all so much for your overwhelming and loving support!
The Rise of an Heiress is going to undergo a bit of a rewrite and I wanted to explain my reason behind this decision and what it means for you.
So, what does that mean?
Not much! You will still be able to read either version and understand The Fall of A Promise without any issues. NO NEW INFORMATION will be added to The Rise of an Heiress. It’s still going to be the fast-paced, steamy interracial romance, with a guy and girl boss, who dive in head first that you know and love.
When is this happening?
The Rise of an Heiress will be taken down on 11.27.2024 and re-released (as a soft launch) on it’s First birthday, 01.03.2024.
The cover will NOT be changing, however, I might add something to the front matter or back cover, that way if you own both versions, you’ll be able to differentiate.
Why am I rewriting my book?
Some plot points need a little more tightening up. When I first published my book, I didn’t have the knowledge, resources, or help at the time. While I did the best I could, over time I started to think about small changes that could’ve made my story more impactful. I thought they were just debut jitters, but the feeling stuck with me. Most of it will be copy edits, rephrasing, as well as removing some text so it’s not as repetitive.
What is changing?
Nothing major that will change the plot or your understanding of the story. Again, this is just to tighten the plot. There will be some additional copy edits as well as additional dialogue (for clarification).
The biggest change will be the classroom scene (IYKYK), while I love that scene, it no longer fits the story I’m trying to tell. I went back and forth before publishing this scene and chose to keep it, but after careful thought, the scene no longer serves a purpose. I will likely add it as a deleted/bonus scene it won’t be lost forever.
The training scene with Dante, Nico, and Anya is going to be altered as well, again, this will not impact the plot at all.
What if I have the e-book and want to keep the original version?
The plan is: if you already own the e-book, it’s yours forever! I will be re-uploading the e-book as a 2nd edition, so those changes will not go into effect/touch your Kindle if you already own it. I don’t want to tamper with the one you already have especially if you enjoyed it.
This, however, will depend on copyright issues with Amazon and I won’t know until I’m actually in the processing uploading the revised version.
What if I want the new version and have the old one?
I’m going to do my best to give away as many free e-books and paperbacks as possible of the new version, but otherwise, if you want the new version you will have to purchase it.
Did someone say giveaway?
I also have a stock of the original version that I will likely just be giving away.
More to come on this soon! If you have any questions, DM me or send me an email at paulinap.author@gmail.com.
